Joseph is an experienced composer of Musical Theatre. His show, Superhero, written with Richy Hughes and Michael Conley premiered at Southwark Playhouse in Summer 2017, to great critical acclaim.

This is Also England, written with Raphael Smith, was showcased at the From Page to Stage festival in of new musicals in 2015 and the BEAM theatre conference in 2016.

He is also writing Bully for Theseus with Raphael Smith and Operation Magic Carpet with Tamsin Collison, based on the play by Samantha Ellis.

His and Richard Hughes’ song ‘Don’t Look Down, won the prestigious Stiles and Drewe Best New Song award’, awarded at the Garrick Theatre as a part of a gala concert featuring Elaine Paige. Joseph is a member of the advanced class of the Book, Music and Lyrics group for composers, lyricists and book writers of musical theatre.
